Newbie Explorer Owner 04' V6

I've driven my Ford Explorer for many years without any problems, but now since the economy is getting bad, and gas prices are going up. I decided to try to skip the dealership, and take things with my own hand.

So far I've learned how to change the oil. Clean the air intake, and Throttle body, and even did some free mods such as The throttle body mod, and the Air Box mod.

I'm hoping to do an underpulley replacement, and to install a electric fan. I hope to get my Gas mileage up with these 2 mods.

You should see a noticeable increase in fuel economy with these mods, good call.

Did you ever do the calculations and find out what you're currently getting?

UPDATE:

It's time to say goodbye to my Explorer , I'll be selling it soon in the following months to get a new vehicle.

However I'm split between a 2011 Ford Expedition, or a 2011 F-250 Lariat Super Duty with 4 doors. Any Suggestions?

Thats a big difference between and Expo and a SuperDuty

I almost traded mine Ex in for an F250 Crew Cab, decided against it for price but I will grab one as a daily driver in a few years.

UPDATE:

I decided to keep my 04 Ford explorer as a family vehicle in the future or possibly trade it in for a Tahoe.

So this is what I bought today , It's a brute compared to my Explorer, but it's surprisingly such a great drive. The interior is huge compared to an Explorer, and I literally get more MPG out of this thing.
