Hello,
I’m new to this forum looking for some advice. I’m looking at a 2016 Ford Explorer XLT with 101k miles on it. Dealer is asking $22,800. Explorer comes with leather interior and tow package. Is this a good deal on an explorer with this high mileage? 3 years old but already has high miles. Should I worry about mechanical issues and is this a good deal?

Welcome from another newbie.

I wouldn't spend close to $23k to have an Explorer with 101k miles on it. For that money and ~3k more, you could get a brand new 2018 Explorer base model, which I found one earlier this year. Zero mile and 3 years of factory warranty.
Look for Ford rebates, there are a lot of good deals out there.
