Whats going on people! My name is Edwin a single father of 2 boys (8&5) and last week I was given (yes given!)a 2002 Explorer XLT for some reason my recently moved-in neighbors offered me this SUV for free
which IMO is in excellent condition! It has 86k miles, he gave me the 10 in TV, sound system with a Bazooka "NOS" tank, DVD player, alarm/auto-starter system, air-horn... the truck was sitting in a public parking lot for 2 years since my neighbor had purchased a brand new chevy impala and his wife doesn't drive and his son messed up his license so I guess he saw me wit my POS 97 Saturn SL1 n felt bad lmao! Anyway take a look n tell what u think.....
oh n btw once I got the truck, I went to my regular jiffy spot and had flushed the motor and obviously changed the oil/filter, jiffy guy said my power steering was dirty so I flushed that, I had the AC fully serviced, he recommended to changed the 3 differentials fluids but I read through Google that these trucks are known for surprising tranny failures, so I declined that until I hear from you guys, who own one, weather I should or don't do it. Got the truck fully detailed - interior, exterior, engine steamed cleaned. Im very much a ebay shopper, I guess since the truck has been sitting for 2 years, the hood latch was rusted so it took 3 guys to try to open the hood but today I had replaced that with one from a 2005 explorer, I also installed hood and window deflectors and 8K HIDs
All compliments, complaints, suggestions will be gladly accepted...thanks for spending time in reading my novel lol.....
