We're looking for a place off SR-2

Paul and I tried to do a run several years ago (the first time I met him) with Greenbeer.

I'm trying to figure what road that was (got a ghost in the closet to kill)

It might be up the Foss River RD? It leads to NF68 and NF6830.

Ricky is looking for possibilities out there too.

Paul, do you remember??????

Thread title was 'hang over run 2008' or something like that

I don't care where. See post #81!

I will be working till the end of year

I will be working till the end of year

Sorry to here that JR. Hopefully we can hook up for some fun after the ball drops.

Work always gets in the way of fun...

We went up 72 last weekend for trees and the snow was that crusty ice stuff... needless to say it was not fun in my tow rig. The snow we wheeled in the weekend before was much better. Things have warmed up alot since then. I was thinking about trying to wheel Evans one last time before they shut it down for the year but Im open for whatever you guys want to do?

Evans might be the winner here, but I might be riding with someone, I's skeerd of more body damage.:p:

We could try to get to surpise lake? Should be snow at 4000+ft and I dont think you will have to worrie about body damage.

What did you have to do to get doors back on your rig Kevin?

There was about 6" of snow at the start of the Surprise Lake trail last Saturday. I asked Forrest a few days ago if you guys had been up there in snow and his reply made me think oh hmmm maybe not a good idea??? Input there Ben?

What did you have to do to get doors back on your rig Kevin?

Plasma cut the inside bottom to clear the boat side tubes and bend the outer skin back to make a new bottom of the door. Then bolt them up like stock.

Unless got some paint, he's really in the Christmas spirit (red and green)

Well, Forrest is not going (work christmas party...) Im waiting to hear back from Chris, he was talking like he might be up for some snow wheelin?

I dont see any reason why we couldn't get up to surprise (the one open cliff section might be intresting in the snow...)? Worst case we have to turn around and head back down. Im up for whatever you guys want to do? Evans has alot of easy trails but I dont know how much snow will be up there? Green Water would be fun also as long as we can find some good snow:D

Surprise Lake/Evans Creek

Greenwater area is gong to be a zoo:thumbdwn:. I vote for Surprise Lake and or Evans Creek.

All four doors are on. The rear ones are held closed with a ratchet strap since the latch mechanisms were removed long ago for parts. Oh well. at least there is more room in my garage now.

I was going to go with the shower curtain, but I didn't have one. I had doors.

Somebody better decide soon. I will be at Phil's door early Saturday morning.

Surprise Lake/Evans Creek

As the crow flies, they are about 7 miles from each other and still have my vote.

We can do both of them, what time do you guys want to meet up?

We can be at the 410 cafe around 8??

or 9.

Anyone parking at Evans will need a Forest Pass, right? but only if you park there??

Yes, it's only if you are parked there. If your driving, you don't need one.
