On my jeep I swapped leather for cloth. Lol. I hate leather. I'd just rather have a seat cover on cloth

It's my wife's DD and she like leather I'd rather have cloth w out covers it gets dirty oh well just clean it or use fabric spray paint and change the color no biggie

Drove my moms new explorer today. 2013 flex fuel, wish she got an ecoboost. She used to drive my explorer till she got this a month ago. It's pretty quick for a SUV. I don't even know what size motor is in it. But compared to two vehicles I have drove with a 4.0 (jeep,inline 6. Explorer,v6) it's defiantly quicker than both of them

Sometime this year I'm going to be building a new box. Probably in a few months. I'm really considering adding atleast one more if not two subs while I'm at it? My wiring should be plenty big for the amp that I will need. That will just move the big 3 higher on the list. After that I need door speakers for sure

Moved everything to the exploder. Sounds so much better in a vehicle that everything is tight in and doesn't rattle. I went from 6ga to 4ga power and grounds. Because I was planning on doing something big in this. And I think it might be getting here sooner than I thought. My boss is selling two kicker comp 10s exactly like I have so I might buy those off him. I was planning on building a bigger box for my two but I think im going to build one for 4 subs. It will be about 5cubic feet or bigger. Subs will be facing up and the port to the back. Tuned around 32hz. Will probably go with the alpine MRX-M110 for the subs. After I get that done ill do big 3 on it then address my mids and highs.

Good call with subs up port back... Seams to be best on these vehicles... Love the low tuning... I'm at 32 as well.. I have just one 15 cascade omega dual 2 ohm 2000 watts rms... It's currently only at 1000 watts rms at 4 ohm... Once I get a better alt and battery ill put it on 2000 watts at 1 ohm..

I was talking to a guy that I had met because of the jeep hobby. But he's big into audio too. He said go subs up port back. I was going to do a sealed box with the subs facing back. But I don't know much lol. I think this will be super freaking awesome and I can't wait to get started on it. The subs will be at 650watts at 4ohm. Then I'll have speakers on other amp/s when I get to it

Ordering subs Thursday. Then box build. Then amp. Few more months to get everything around.


I'm thinking I want to tint my windows. Either do it my self or have someone do it. Thoughts?

i bought that cheap cling on stuff from walmart.. basically it is static cling tint that is made for houses and motor homes and can be re used.. i got it because it was 5 bucks for a huge roll.. i couldnt even get that on there right... so i am in the process of pricing out shops and going to get the front two windows to match the rears..

what kind of music do you listen to?
that should be your main reason for what kind of box to build. generally rap is either ported while rock and country is more sealed.
sealed will give you more of a flat but crisp tight feel, good for guitars and drums
also subs tend to run a little bit hotter as they are sealed in a box ant cant breath. sealed boxes are usually smaller than ported as well.
ported boxes have more of a rumble to them and are a little more loose feeling but can get a heck of a lot louder. downfall is you usually have to run a slightly larger box than if you were to run the same setup in a sealed box. they also have a harder time keeping up with fast rock songs..
i have had three setups all ported but not i am starting to listen to more types of music other than rap and am considering doing my first sealed setup soon

I listen to all kinda music. But most of the time when I'm driving its heavy bass music just cause I enjoy it so much lol. But I'm goin to be taking some measurements and such and some designing again for the box. I think I'll do ported this go round.

Not going to upgrade the system. If I do anything it's going to be a 2 din head unit. But any of you guys put a cb in a 2nd gen?
