Howdy
Here's what's up.
Swapped in 5 speed.
4405 control trac tcase
Brown Wire mod
4x4 works in auto and the high position, not in the low position. I found a thread that JoshC posted about the same problem so I grounded the wire that was discribed in his thread. I've been looking through all the wiring diagrams on my 97 service CD but I still have no idea what I'm looking for.
What usually causes a transfer case to not go into 4-low? I don't know if the "shift motor" is the problem because goes from auto to 4x4 high with no problem so I don't see the point in cleaning it...if I even have one?
Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks.
Arnie
