I have a 98 Mountaineer 5.0 AWD, with an interesting problem. After about 10 Minutes of Highway driving i loose all air flow in front cabin. fan runs but no air flow out vent. dose not matter which setting ac max defrost floor and switching settings will not bring air flow back even if i turn unit off it will not return until truck has sat. when city driving for hours i do not have this problem and ac as well as heat preform excellent. has any one ran in to this before where is my problem? thanks

Another possibility that's shown up a couple times is that the vacuum reservoir has filled with water. The vacuum reservoir is behind the right side passenger kick plate panel. It's round with a couple vaccum hoses coming out of it. Shake it, if there is water, disconnect and empty.

The vacuum reservoir stores engine vacuum for the environmental blender controls.

rotary controls, (did the 98 Mountaineer come with the Eddie Bauer electronic controls?) I will check reservoir tomorrow and let you know thanks

I could not locate the exactly what you explained, i removed the kick panel and found 1. something that looked like a actuator controlled by vacuum for selection of recycled air from cabin outside drawn air. 2. i saw a plug that went in to fire wall with 2 hoses black and white. i did not see any hoses going to behind kick panel area. thanks for helps
