I have a 94 Ford Explorer 4-door and I have unique problem with my interior lights.

When I open the doors on the driver side of the vehicle the interior lights do not come on, but when I open the doors for the passage side the lights do come on. Does anyone know if there is a separate fuse or relay that would cause the light not to function just on the driver’s side of the vehicle.

Any thoughts would be helpful.

Thanks.

There should be a switch that releases when the door is opened. I believe it's located somewhere between the hinges of the door. It might be stuck closed, or it could be bad.

I already replaced the door sensors. It has to be something else. Last week the lights came back on for 2 days before going dark again. It could be an electrical short I guess.
