It would still be hard for me to do that to mine. I'd have to pay some big money for it.

i havent really been under a 3rd gen yet, been working on mine and my friends 2nd gen.

yeah 2nd gens are different. Right now I'm painting all the trim on mine black. It looks pretty good. Have you tried doing that?

for mine i think the silver/gray works pretty good on it, plus the truck is totally covered in road salt from the snow lately.

Luckily I don't have the road salt problem like you. But like 2 days ago it acyually snowed here in Florida. But now I'm already sweateing again lol.

if you want i will trade states with you. with the truck, everything from tires, running boards, on up to the roof rack and my warning light on my roof and the moon roof are all caked with salt.

That sucks. I always have to keep my x clean. I would'nt be a happy camper if everyday I got salt on it. I feel bad for you and your x.

i gave up washing it, i would wash it and it would snow again and it would be once again white, when it stops snowing shes gettin a nice warm bath.

hopefully it rains sunday so i can get the stickers on that i got for her

answering the original post...

I used to live in Sarasota where ALDIVE is located... Florida does not check for emissions so you are lucky, and can do what alot of ppl wanna do to there exhaust's but cant due to strict emissions laws...

3rd gen's do not have a 3rd Cat. It is a resonator for those who didnt know... just another sound deading device... i apologize if someone already covered that... also there is no 02 sensor after the resonator at all... the only 2 sensors are behind each cat located on the Y-Pipe.

if you go on youtube and type in " caldwell exhaust " the 1st video is ,my X... custom Cat Back Exhaust - 2.5'' pipe in ( NO RESONATOR ) FM Delta 40 series, then 2.5'' out to a 3'' tip...

the video was taken about 3 hours after install... with my INTAKE and since the muffler " wore in " the sound is a little better...

hope this helps you fella

Thanks well I guess it isn't a 3rd cat after all. It sure does look like one though.

i thought the same thing... but think if it was a CAT then there would most likley be an 02 sensor behind it, and there isnt... it just flows directly in the the massive muffler...
