I have no rear parking lights.
The bulbs are fine. I couldn't find any fuses blown. I tried to trace the wiring underneath the vehicle and didn't find anything smashed or cut. The hitch plug was just twisted together and taped, so I cut out the bad corroded part and soldered it back together; it has 12v for parking lights on the brown wire, but still didn't fix my problem.
Ideas?

You have a blown fuse. There is a fuse for the front, rear and for the trailer. Since you just redid the trailer wiring harness I'd say check the trailer marker lamp fuse. Give me a couple minutes and I'll go look in my book for which fuse/s you need to check.

O.k. so these are fuses to check...
Inside fuse panel on dash side
5 (15A), 3 (7.5A), 7 (7.5A), 13 (15A), 16 (7.5A), 19 (15A)

I'm getting straight ground on both legs of the fuse for #3, #7, and #16.

Checking the wires coming out of the switch now.

I'm having the same issue. All my fuses are good. The park lamps up front work, break lights in the rear work, blinkers work in the rear, 3rd break light works. No rear park lamps license lamps. I ran a wire from the left front park lamp to the rear and they light up and so do the license lamps, but then it messes with the blinkers and the 3rd break light stays on when the lights are on????

PROBLEM SOLVED.

Whoever installed the trailer hitch had the wiring harness routed through the leaf spring. Over time the loom with the wires in it kept getting pinched until the corroded wiring finally broke. I soldered in new splices for three of the wires. Re-loomed, and re-routed the wiring along the rear framework.

Look back by the rear bumper, to the driver's side of the spare tire.
There are two wiring harnesses.

One is white and round with two wires in it.

The other is black with about six wires in it. This is the wiring for your tail lights. It has a brown wire that stands off away from the other wires, it is your 12v power for the tail lights when they are turned on.
If you have power there, then the problem is between the plug and the tail lights.

Glad to hear you found the problem and it was an easy fix.

9out of 10 times it can be traced to a trailer plug,,,they seem to cause a lot of problems on rbv's
