Chicago was hit with freezing rain last night so I got a call from my dad. His rear wheel drive Benz was backwards on the freeway exit ramp. So i showed up to save the day only to find out there is absolutely no where to attach a strap to without destroying the car. I have seen small cars with little recovery hooks on them (civics and such). Have they stopped doing this?:dunno:

Ended up calling a tow truck to hook it under the front wheels.

I picked up a pair of "fish-hooks" from a local tow truck driver when he was upgrading . I don't know the technical name, but they look like huge fish hooks on a chain. The tip is narrow and long enough to fit inside the hole in the frame on most vehicles, that is where the tow trucks always hook to!
Try looking for these

it was an '09 clk230. really low to the ground. I was looking everywhere to hook to but it seamed that if i hooked it up it would tear off all the plastic that the car is made out of.

get a set of frame hook clusters from a towing industry supplier. Cost about $15-20 contains a bunch of hooks like the R, T, J hooks used for going into the frame or unibody framing.
