I did a seafoam treatment through the PVC valve earlier tonight and let it sit for 20 minutes before taking it for a "spirited drive". I got a couple puffs of smoke and that was it. What does it mean when you don't get the white fog everyone else gets when doing this?

I'm not quite sure what it means, but you're not the only one. Myself and a few others got nothing in terms of smoke, or just a few puffs. Not a big deal.

thanks for letting me know! I was sitting there last night looking at it saying to myself "where's my smoke show?" Then I thought I may have done it wrong or something but the engine runs fine and feels slightly a little more torquey by the seat of the pants but other than that I don't see a difference in drivability.

I could see this as a once a year type of maintenance procedure. I couldn't see this being done on a more frequent basis for an reason...

I was hoping for the thick white clouds of smoke coming form the exhaust and smoke out the neightborhood for a while so needless to say i was a bit disappointed when it didn't happen

Oh well...

I didn't let mine sit i just unhooked a vaccumm line going into the upper intake and hooked it up for about half the can.... took no more then a few seconds.... hooked the line back up and went to the drivers seat and gave it gas.... Did the neighbors ever get mad at me for that one :D

I want to seafoam, but don't want to change my plugs again.

I suppose I will someday...sometime in the summer. Then I will say I am fogging the neighborhood for bugs:p:

The first time I seafoamed mine I only let it sit for a couple minutes, and didn't get much of a smoke show. The second time, though, it sat for about 30 minutes, and man, that worked! I let it smoke for a few minutes at idle, and it was smoking for another couple miles of driving. It is so cool. :D

if you suck it through the vacume line you get smoke because it is being shoved through the combuston chamber and burned any other way wouldnt smoke because it wont hit the exaust system in any way shape or form. btw seafoam through the vacume line is the most effective way to clean the engine

I did mine about a week ago and I had plenty of smoke. I did mine at my parents house in the country because my neighbors hate me already and I didn't want to get kicked out of my apartment. I did it through the brake booster hose. Used about half of the can, and let it set for about 20 minutes. It worked great. My truck takes of from a stop tons better now. I haven't figured out if my gas mileage has gotten any better. But it definitely feels like it's got alot more power.
