I have a 2017 Explorer XLT 8 inch screen, does not have the Sony system. Once I drive about 5 miles or so the stereo will start a beeping noise. It starts out slow then increases in speed. If I turn off the stereo it stops. Wait a minute turn the stereo back on and it does not do it, but will start doing it again very quickly. It does this listening to XM, standard radio or bluetooth. Ford dealer said it was a bad ACM. I ordered one off of EBAY and installed it (matching numbers). It does the same thing. It will do the same noise if the engine is running or not, think this rules out alternator noise.

Here is a video I posted to youtube to show what it is doing.

Any help is appreciated.

If the ACM didn't fix it then it could be the radio itself.:dunno: Since you are likely not under warranty, why not take it to a car audio shop where personnel likely have more insight/training?

nice beat!!! just kiddin!!! 🤣 dont know the 5th gens, but is there any noise that sounds similiar? ie. auto brake beeping, htch closing, etc? just wanna confirm that. patch cable noise? doubting this one but they can pick up noise. is the amp in these next to anythinglike a computer etc? as peter said, sometimes audio shops can diagnose these kinds of issues. not sure if this would helphttps://images.crutchfieldonline.com/ImageBank/v20150824112100/learningcenter/articles/417/NoiseSuppress.pdf
