Righto guys. I've done some searching but not a whole lot make sense to me. I've learnt that the ex's have a bit of a problem with the abs sensors but I don't know what part I'm supposed to be looking for.

My vehicle is a 2000 XLT 4dr 4wd. It went and had it's 150,00 (KM) service a couple of days ago. I told them that the abs light comes on every now and then. They ran a diagnostic and it came up that the front left speed sensor was a bit dodgy. They took it out and cleaned it but said if it comes on again I'll need a new part. The trouble I have is that Ford want A$750 for a new speed sensor!! WTF! I am after like, some pictures or something so I have an idea what I am looking for parts wise or if someone could link me to a product where the seller does overseas shipping (I'm an Aussie) that would be a huge help

Thanks all

I think your problem is that the sensor comes as part of the front hub assembly which from the dealer is a "big number". I would suggest you try and locate a "wrecker hub" and then salvage the sensor from that.

I second this. I believe the sensor is only held on with one bolt to the hub assembly.

Can you order parts from www.rockauto.com?

They have the parts in question a lot lower than the price you are finding...Go take a look there...www.rockauto.com
