Ok here is my issue. Not much air flows from the AC vents. I know this is a common problem on Explorers.
I have researched forums and YouTube looking to how to diagnose and fix the problem and I have checked all the common problems on mine, but I may be missing one and looking for help.
Don’t think it’s the Blend Door Actuator because that blends the hot and cold and I actually replaced that a few years ago when it was clicking.
Not the Fan Resistor I had to replace that a few years ago to when it was only working on 4.
Some YouTube videos show a problem with vacuum lines that work with actuators. I checked the one in the engine compartment and it was intact.
I have seen the videos of the actuator arm behind dash breaking off at the plastic joint, but this is not the case as I have checked it to see if it is working.
Then there is the recirculation door. I know it’s common for these to break and block the fan. That is not the case either. I checked it and it is working.
I pulled out the fan to check if maybe it was clogged with leaves or mouse nest and it actually looked clean. While it was out, I checked the fan and it worked on all speeds.
So, I am at a loss. What am I missing?
