Not your Average Explorer

ahh...
For me, I would want a Gibson... they sound stock at idle, but when you floor it, you know it aint stock ;) Plus you keep or gain torque and hp...

otherwise a 40 series flowmaster will sound pretty damn wicked.

Just out of curisosity, did you use the factory roof bar to mount those lights. It looks like it. Just wondering if you ever considered getting a Yakima rack to mount them. Also doesn't it seem like doing all those modifications for offroad use seem to be a waste unless you plan on doing a 4x4 conversion? I don't know if you do some offroading where 4wd isn't really necessary but I'm sure alot of people are wondering why you would put all that effort into modding it like that when you got a 4x2.

true, but Alec had a very capable 2wd explorer in Splat. Just get that rear locked up.

You should definitely be getting the looks in that thing. The exterior looks real hard but I think the interior looks kinda soft with the cow print. A girl down the street from me has it in her VW bug so maybe I am biased. By what way do you plan on going bigger? I am a 4x2 and I am doing the 3 inch BL and TT with Shackles to fit 33's. You will hear alot about lifting a 4x2 but you will get used to it. :D My purpose is more of a lifted street truck so Im not worried about the 4x4.

Yeah I forgot Splat was 2wd. I wonder whatever happened to it, I know it got sold and stuff. Maybe the person who bought it will one day stumble in.

On the 3rd picture from the left, what are those on your fingers?

Yeah, a locked-rear 2WD is pretty capable.

Hey Brandon4AU, how bout that Ole Miss game? Woo Hotty Toddy!

Anyways, I see kids that look a lot like you hanging around outside the mall and they all drive black SUVs... mostly Explorers. Hrm... I'd definately say interesting at the least. Oh well, welcome to the 2wd club.

-Justin

PS - I was wondering, are the bottoms of your pants as big around as the waste?

Well the first thing that came to mind was, you must be hauling a lot of sand bags around to have your backend sag that much. The exhaust tips I just don’t get. What was the look you were going for there? Tow hooks just for looks? How do nonfunctioning tow hooks look cool? You said you use the ball for towing? The ball is just attached to the bumper and not the frame. The little metal thingy’s on the bumper? What are those?
And um… the Columbine Trench Coat Mafia look is all play out. But I guess if that’s what’s cool to you go with that.

Sorry if my post seemed a little negative, how come they call it common sense when it really isn’t that common?

yes this is how i dress normaly. i woulnd consider myself an outcast but i dont do the whole big social crowd.ill put some pictures of them there pants and the things on my fingers are rings ill put pics of those up to. hope you enjoy.and the big round stickers on the side are actully united states marine stickers. im a marine myself.

and my backend sags like that cuz im on a hill. dont worry about sounding negitive i get that all the time and im cool with it. plus its cold right now.:D

Mine's a 2WD also. True, you 4x4's would leave me in the dust (literally) on many trails, but I can keep up on quite a bit.

I actually almost put a skull on the front of my X. I was going to get a cow skull with the Texas flag painted on it and mount it on the front bumper. Decided not too, as it wouldn't really go well with my "Animal Friendly" license plate. :p

PS: Very interesting rings. I hope you're right handed, cause you sure won't be able to do much with that left one with those things on there.

LOL We killed ourselves. We dont have a reliable field goal kicker and then Obamanu choked! I just hope yall beat the hell out of LSU. I would much rather yall win the SEC than them or UF.

Nah, even though we're not having the best year, we'll still win the SEC. Go Gators!

I was there from 92-96. We were SEC champs every year, and in 96 we were National Champs. Let's just say I enjoyed the football while I was there.

Theres only two things I would do with a 2wd

1. street queen

2. Pre-runner

I like #2 better!:D

come on guys.. what's the point? did he post something saying "hey, tell me if you like the way i look?" i'm sure all of you guys aren't studs yourselves. seeing as how he is a marine, he gets more respect from me than most of the rest of you. he could probably kick your @ss too! he's takin his truck out wheeling. that's cool! even if it is just 2wd. he's taking your comments better than almost anyone else on the site would. most of you would be whining to get people's posts moderated if they said stuff about you like this. heck.. i can count at least 6 of you that have whined to me about just that in the past!
and yes, i did say something stupid about the rings in the chat last night. something to the effect of him having an advantage in fights with those things on. it was dumb. i'm a hyprocrite i guess.

bobdreadknot.. sorry your thread is getting such lame responses. at least a few people are giving real info and comments that are relevant. most everyone here is pretty cool, despite some responses in this thread. now slap a tcase in that truck and go sling some mud!
