He must be a newbe because not everyone knows how bad mud can be at times. I found out the hard way but not as hard. Going about 35 when I hit it and that was all she wrote for my fog lights. Thinks to a F250 and alot of straps I was out in no time. But I learned from it and now I only do things that I have walked through frist. How did he get mud inside?? Plz tell me he had the windows up the hole time.

Yeah but the way he sunk that jeep id say he has to be Chevy material.

ok totally done with the engine and almost with the interior. replaced the tps wires to the ecu, changed plugs/wires,new ac blower motor, drivers side wheel bearing and cv axle, front axle ujoints being rebuil as i type, new battery, and soon to come a steam cleaning for the carpet and shes back to normal.

total cost for the fun, memories, and priceless pictures? in the neighborhood of 500.00 bucks

not bad i say!

Wow, id have to agree u got off cheap on this one. All the better!

Agreed... I'm sure ya woulda had to pay for it all someday, the wheelin trip just brought it sooner :p

that was my plan all along! to exploit the weak parts .

Good excuse!

i spoke to soon looks like my front axle after 145 k is looking grim., the diff is a howler. dana 30 is a turd

you cant polish that.

im looking for a reverse cut 30. tack on another 300 bucks.

but at 145k i though id see the death of that awhile ago. in fact i cant wait for my tc to go next. i hate the all time 4wd . dont get me wrong , in snow and rain its awsome, but for wheeling its stupid.

the bad thing about it is that it appears to have survived. to bad . as far as im concerned its a kitchy evil device that doesnt serve man well at all.

Hey Bender, we should meet up sometime, I go to school up at Ga. Southern and would love to see some of the trucks in yalls club in Savannah. I have been toying with the idea of getting a WJ so yall may have another member in yalls club next year when I come back to school for the fall semester.

I may end up at Ga Southern next year and will definitly be saving up for a 4x4. As of now im scrapping the Jeep project, and will try to save up to buy a cheap already working Jeep of some kind.

cool. we have a jeep club meeting every first thurs daynight of the month. usually at a buddies jeep shop in garden city. i think were planning on tellico in late june. i doubt ill have all the mud out by then.

i just want to go 1 day with out seeing mud. ever since this thing , it has been a big part of my life everyday. its driving me mad i tell you.

The only thing that is bothering me is EVERYONE that gets the budget boost for their WJ gets front end problems, from trac bar issues to sway bar issues. And most have the "death wobble"...I am beginning to think that i would be much better off just gettin another Explorer and just gettin shackles and TT and fitting 32s no sweat...so many choices
