Here we go guys. I recently acquired a Jeep NP208. So from the information I received from bobbywalter and his cardomain site i'm going to swap the input gear from the Ford NP208 that I own to the Jeep NP208. The whole point of this swap is to get a transfercase that allows the AWD users the capability to switch to a part time case that will fit between the frame rails. The only thing that could pose a problem is the front driveshaft clearance but we'll see in the future about that.

Right now there's some pictures in my gallery. I'll link those pictures when I get back from work.

...Any updates yet???..

...I am curious if you used an AOD and the NP208...Did you swap in a V8??

What ever happened with this?

Well if anybody is wondering, this does work, I just finished the input swap. The Jeep NP208 case bolts right up to the M5R2 and is clocked correctly.

Say huh? I'm referring to a V8 tranny as well. A NP208 would not work behind a V6. It uses the full size Ford bolt pattern of the AOD and M5R2.

I do take my my earlier comment that it bolts up like stock. The case has a very slight depth difference, with the input shaft fully engaged over the tranny output shaft, the mating surfaces of the tranny and t-case are about 1/8" apart so a spacer would be needed. It's a non-issue for me since I'm using a 3/8" thick clocking ring since I want it clocked flat.
