O/d light !!

Ok just going to jump right in . 2001 Ford Explorer o/d light blinking. Start with what i have done to this point. Changed rear diff fluid. Replaced speed sensor on top of diff. Changed trans fluid and filter. Replaced trans valve body with all new solenoids and gaskets. Now the problem !! The O/D light still comes on but now its only when coming to a quick stop. I took a trip and went 83 miles without having to stop.(interstate). Got to the exit and had to slow quickly and that's when the light came on. Anyone got an idea on what it could be? its the 5R55E

It might be low on fluid or you didn't put O-rings on the filter, or you used a 2 wheel drive filter, they are shorter on the fluid pickup.

You need to get the codes checked first. I have been compiling links to help diagnose 5r55 problems. I hope this is helpful.

had the fluid checked .half quart to much. took care of that but still have same problem. i plan to have the codes soon.
