O2 Sensor

Can anyone tell me where the O2 sensor is located on a 92 Explorer. I'm assuming it's in the exhaust line before the converter and probably in the most impossible place to get to. With 164k I think it's due.

On my 92, it's at the end of the Y-pipe, right after where the two sides come together, and right before the first cat.

Thats where it is on our '92 also.. Just before the cat... right after the y pipe..

BTW I use a 7/8" open ended wrench to take it out..

Spray it with a lubricant first to help loosen it.Good luck,
