I recently changed the EGR valve on my wifes 05 4.0 Mountaineer. The CEL was on. While I was changing the valve I noticed her thermostat housing was leaking. I used my air gun to blow around the housing to clean it off to find the source of the leak. After hooking the battery back up the car ran really rough and died. I restarted it and it did it again. I unhooked the battery again and hooked it back up. Got it started and took it for a drive. I no longer have the CEL. My wife has said that for a few days now on start up the engine will idle very rough and sometimes stall. It doesnt do it everytime. Could I have messed something up when I blew the engine off? Is there anything that could be causing this rough idle without tripping the CEL?
