Olay anyone here know about the ODB on a 95 Explorer?I have a 95 with the 96 body style.
I have found the one under the steering wheel but for some reason when I connect my ODB II code reader it cannot link, and when looking at the connector the pins do not look as if they are in the correct place ot line up with the ones on my reader. And yes the reader does work properly because I connected with my daughters 03 Focus just fine.

Your 95 is not OBDII compliant. Its a OBD-I system.. You can read them from the engine compartment using a multimeter.. http://www.explorerforum.com/forums//showthread.php?t=147734

your 95 has a 95 style body on it LOL

95 was the first year of the Gen II truck, but 96 was the first year of OBD-II so 95 is a halfbreed

welcome

Maybe that explains it, But I have yet to find the ODB I port under the hood, I know where it should be, due to using the ODB I code reader on my 91 T-Bird. Guess I will have to look harder But as of yet I have failed to find it.
On another note, what is the connections below the stirring wheel for?

I believe you can use that connector for programming such things as the GEM.

The OBDI connector is located on the left front inner fender...by the front of the fuse box there. It is a trapezoid looking affair and if the cover is still in place, it will have two connectors installed in the cover.

Thanks I found it, now I am hunting down my book to fix the problem.
I have a 327, 332 and a 337 code. All dealing with the EGR valve. I will dismiss the 332 because the other two deal with low of no voltage getting to the EGR.
I think the codes are correct as I stated them. Am recalling them from memory
