Forgive the bad camera work but you can hear the 'wobble' if you turn the sound up. It only does it when the vehicle is in gear. In park the noise goes away 100%.

What on earth is it? I would suspect its something that gains or loses a load depending on weather the vehicle is in gear.

I couldn't tell, couldn't hear much... from what I could hear, sounded like a high pitched warble sound like an electric motor bearing so I'd try turning the climate control off to see if that stops it (I could easily be wrong).

The climate control is off. Not really high pitched. It's moderate. Warble is good word to use. Could the starter be doing that. Photo buckets video players sound is at 50% by default. In the viewing window there is a slider.

The starter should be disengaging as soon as you let go of the key (once running). Otherwise I'd expect it to have burnt up already so I doubt that's the cause.

2nd guess would be steering pump, but really I have no idea and suggest that you get someone to help, to put it in gear replicating the noise, while you're free to walk around and find the source of the noise. Sometimes a length of house against your ear can help pinpoint noises, though it's harder the higher pitched the noise is.

The power steering pump is brand new, I know the harmonic balencer is good too. I'm trying to figure out what component would turn off or on or something depending on weather or not the vehicle is in gear or not. This vehicle is AWD and 4l sohc.
