Odo/Trip no working

So I bought my 99 sport with title under acual mileage unknown because the odo stopped working and was never fixed. Now im left to try and fix it, but I have no idea where to even begin looking. Basically the Odo reads at 63,x.. and the trip is just reset to 0 and nothing ever changes.

Help?

When my odo quit working on my '92 I just replaced the entire cluster with on I got off e-bay. The plastic gears in the odo strip out or break and I don't think they are available anywhere (plus its a pain in the arse to try to r&r them).
