On a 2000 Explorer 4.0L SOHC VIN E engine, are the OEM O2 sensors… heated… or unheated… which one? Please advise. Thanks!

On my wiring diagrams it shows they're a 4 wire, heated sensor. Unheated wouldn't have 4 wires.

Rock auto is your friend for finding the right parts whether you buy them their or not.

I went with Bosch and they are location dependent as to which one you need.

A word of caution though, If you have never replaced yours before they have been in there for 22 years now and won't be coming out easy. When I did my 98 about 4 years ago I soaked them for days with Kroil and when the first one finally busted loose it stripped out the threads in the bung. I had to take it to an old school muffler shop and have them do it for me up on a lift and he had to weld on a new bung.

Good Luck.
