Mounty03- Could you elaborate more on your setup? When I recently achieved my 15.22, I had taken the seats out and the fr driveshaft/swaybar. Are you full weight or what? My next goal is to find some drag wheels/tires to put on and see how much that helps.

The only thing removed is the 3rd row seat. It was 4860# with me in it the last time I had it on a scale.

The trans was built by Dirty Dog Performance.

Very good, Alan is great to deal with. I take it he built the torque converter also? I spoke with him about making a better TC when I can work it in.

This is perfect weather for good times at the track. Too bad mine is not done and will be awhile before complete. Darn economy.

But Mounty - You make us explorer dudes proud. I hope you make 11's soon.

We just got back from Little River Dragstrip .
Got in 8 runs .
My best 3 runs of the night were all 16.0s
I got a 16.09 a 16.08 and a 16.005 but I just couldnt get that 15.999999 , Arghhh.. Mph was 82 - 83mph all night. Not great but not bad for a basically stock 4200lb 4x4 with a V6.
Next time I will run the nitrous and see what difference it makes.
Good thing is I only lost 3 out of the 8 times I ran. :)
Ill scan in my best run of the night timeslip sometime this weekend.
goodnight!

Sounds like fun!!! Congrats on the times and I know you have a 15.99 in you;) Can't wait to see what you run with the nitrous! :burnout:

Probably would have gotten it if I didnt have an almost full tank but track
was far out enough I was worried about not having enough gas to get home.

htrlncn- Thanks for the timeslips because when you first posted where you ran at, I couldn't find "Little River Dragway." But I did find "Temple Academy Dragway," and was able to look up your DA for your best run and get a corrected time of what you should have ran. Says you should have been about a 15.83 @ 84.621 in the 1/4 under better conditions.

When I ran my new best a few weeks ago, I went 15.22 and the corrected time said I was supposed to be near a 14.6. Our DA was much higher than yours so.... Here is the link for you to play around with;)

Sorry I have not been back in a little while. I'll get you up. My eyes are closing shut right now but i'll honor your slip. Keep it up!

awdrocks- How's the new combo coming together? Have you started a new build thread I don't know about?

I ran my 1993 5 speed, 4wd sport. It has 186,x.. miles on it, no LSD, and a collapsed lifter on cyl 6, weighed in a 3445 with 150lb driver. Took it to Maple Grove Raceway in PA. It was completly stripped and A/C compressor removed. I ran 3 passes with the best being 17.17 @82 mph. I couldn't get traction to save my life and my R/T was horrible as it was my first drag ever. I did beat a 2001 5 speed explorer sport, a 2.0 VW golf, a 1994 Jeep cherokee, a 1987 dodge ram 150. I had alot of fun.

i wish i had time slips but the truck does not run yet,i think low 10s and then high 9's later in the year.

Guys and gals,

I am very sorry for the inconsistency on this thread. I have been overwhelmed with work and another project I have underway. A 1990 AWD Talon :)

Please pm me if I have not updated your numbers.

Thank you

BTW I am cooking something that should land me in the 750-800whp range.

Alex, let me know if you need a spare turbo for that Talon? I bought one many years ago that is supposed to be a manual version, and slightly ported. It's good to hear from you, how is that TFS headed engine coming along? Regards,

Thanks Don.

What kind of turbo? I have a 50 trim on it right now on the stock motor. I'm building another motor on the side and that will sport a Holset hybrid HX35/40. First goal is 600awhp on pump and meth, prob around 38psi.

Explorer build is moving along but very slowly. As soon as I get this Talon done im going all out on the X.

How is your ride?
