Good idea Alex, for motivation and inspiration of all. I've tested my truck once, with my VC2000 testing device. I used it mainly to test the brakes, but when I get to real HP modifications soon, I'll make runs with my tester. I think stock with heavy 18's I'm still close to 18 seconds now. Regards,

Cool deal Don. If you have even an old time slip with numbers, let me know and ill post up your specific times, if you want. The idea is like you said, to start filling the list and make this fun and interesting. If you don't have one... we will anxiously wait for your modded runs ;) .

We'll do, get onto Jon to get his truck tuned soon. His truck will be an excellent baseline for stroker trucks to reach for. He has done most of what I originally planned, add compression and cubic inches, better heads and cam, machine work, and torque converter.

Jeeze Alex, I thought your truck would do better than that 9.0@78MPH in the 1/8th mile. My best run (on the stock A/T tires mind you) with the Kenne Bell Phase 1 was:

60'.....1.96
1/8....8.72
MPH...80.87
1/4....13.63
MPH...98.93

That run was back when the truck was only putting down 360rwhp in detuned Phase 1 form. Since I was running the stocker all terrain tires I wasn't able to launch it at all but still pulled a 1.9 60' which isn't that bad. If I had slicks low low 13's would have been no problem with that combo. It is much different now though. One day I will be able to actually hit the track. I have been soo busy with other vehicle projects and customer stuff that I have not had a single opportunity to take any of my vehicles to the track this year.

Que onda Rob. Yeah well this run was before all these last mods I did. Notice I added MOD "XX", because when I did my sweep on my engine last month I discovered TWO intake vacuum leaks on the back of my intake, and I have been running with a totally detuned tune. Last year while in Cancun when we were street tuning I ran out of fuel (to small of injectors)... So my tuner retarded my timing quite a bit just to keep me safe.

So it definitely had a lot more in it... but I thought I would post it up anyways... Its all good. I know when I hit the track hopefully very soon that number will improve ;) Ill be hitting the track with a very sealed SC, good tune and about 4 more pounds of boost.

Your tuner should have just lowered your rev limiter if you were running out of fuel, instead of dumping spark timing. Do you know if he retarded your spark timing globally or just in the higher load cells of the borderline spark table?

Global from what I know. Yes he also cut my limiter... I was short shifting. I was changing gears at around 5,600.

Let me know if you want me to add or change anything from your mods.

It would also be cool to send me your vid and ill post it up in your info...

Fixed

I new you didn't have the electric water pump then... my mistake.

No problem. I sometimes get the mods I did for phase 1 and the bigger phase 2 build mixed up; most of the time I have a hard time remembering all that I have done until I really sit down and make a detailed list out. By the time I get to phase 3 I will definitely not even be able to remember all the mods I have done.

I like these phases.... they are just stepping stones for the master phase.... OH WAIT, a master phase doesnt even excist... there is always something more to do... lol

I was just reading about this new Honda hybrid thats coming out, that wants to prove that they can also be muscle cars... and so on... ... ... ... .. then this little voice all of a sudden started saying.. "hmmm, I wonder if I could some day adapt that type of future tech into my X", then I snapped out of it, and said... OK Alex... ... .. lol ... . you have issues... lol... SO, what phase are we in? I think this is like 3 of infinity ... ;)

Hehe if there turns out to be a phase 4 (master phase) to the X project then I will need to get my official NHRA track licenses. Hell phase 3 will put me deep into the 10's and maybe 9's who knows.

I completed phase 2 earlier this year which was the biggest phase and could probably be considered the "master" phase. Phase 3 will be smaller, but pack a large whallop in additional power. I seriously doubt there will ever be a phase 4. By that time I will have moved onto other vehicles. I have been feeling a hankering to buy a C5 Vette Roadster and TT it. The X will still stay unless a specialist car dealer make me an offer that I cannot refuse.

I hear you... . . . I meant phases as to what ever you move onto.. . . this car, that car, that airplane... . .. whatever... but the phases never stop. The day I build a car it going to be a 93-95 RX7 with at least a ls7 twin or single turbo... .. . . or even a quad.. lol .. . . But im having to much fun with my X right now...`.` . I might not ever get rid of it... . . its like a dream 4 door muscle Mustang. . :) ... that seats 7. . Ill for sure keep it for my kids :) unless an unfortunate life decision doesn't let me.

Let's get some numbers up!!!!

Well if you mean phases as in other projects then that would be a DIY jet engine I plan to build and also a Go-cart powered by a Sport Bike engine, kind of like the GSXR Kart stuff you have probably seen.
