offroad laptop GPS usage possible

I am looking into possibly using my laptop for GPS for my explorer. It will be used mostly offroad. Is there a software that has offroad capabilities that is for laptops?

Any gps unit for your laptop would probably work just fine, you just have to find the right maps.

Topo Usa

check out the topo USA software from Delorme. Not the best software for road navigation but this package would be great for offroad use. A real smart way to run this is to make an image of the DVD on your hard drive then run it from there so your not spinning the DVD off road. I know its a little late but i hope this helps
