Oil Change

Can someone tell me where the oil pan drain plug is located on a 92 Ford Explorer XL? I think it is located directly under teh oil filter, but the pan is not smooth like other cars. I located what I think is a drain plug, but I am leary to loosen it in case it is not the oil pan. Are there any pictures, or diagrams on the web?

well, i used to have a 91 X, and if i remember correctly, the drain plug is about 6" towards the driver side from where the oil filter is. if its a drain plug you found, in the vicinity of the oil filter, thats it. good luck.
