oil dip stick length..urgent!!!

next time you change your oil put in the required amount less 1 quart mark stick start engine mark low on stick then add the other quart and it should read full the diesel boys do this all the time because so many configurations for trucks industrial equipment stocking all of the dip sticks is prohibitive
