I have an oil leak towards the rear of my engine that is dripping onto the exhaust under the bell housing. It drips when I am going up hills offroad and slower speeds ( I’m guessing the rest of the time higher speed just send the oil further back) I am wondering if anyone has ever had the dipstick leak where it goes into the engine, or if it is most likey the rear main as I have recently done the lower oil pan. Any info is appreciated just want a non leaky ST!

^ Clean it off at a self serve car wash, put some UV dye in the oil, then hit it with a UV light as soon as it starts leaking?

What engine?
Some leak at the back of the valve covers.

Yeah, that was my thought too, the OHV 4.0s will leak at the back corner of the driver side valve cover. I don’t know if the Sohc 4.0s do that too.

Also some of the plastic valve covers develop cracks.

Thanks all I will check out the valve covers, did the seals on it two years ago probably due for some more
