'92 XLT
I used to be a member on this site and always enjoyed it. I still have the same 92 XLT I had then, too. It has 160K on it and it all works for the most part. The 4WD system hasn't worked for years, since I was last on this site, and the AC compressor went out years ago. I also had the trans rebuilt at 120K. Thing is, I actually have it for sale right now as I would like to use the money for a different project, but I keep thinking I should take it off the market! This car is reliable and durable, takes a beating, still looks pretty good, and I like driving it.

I'll probably just keep it. I have a new AC compressor to put on it and maybe I'll fix the 4WD system. I'm no mechanic, don't even want to try it. I may just take it to a shop but only the dealers seem to mess with the systems around here. Anyway, here's the promised pics!

awesome truck, 92's are tanks!

Your 4x4 system issue is likely either a dirty shift motor on the transfer case of faulty auto hubs. Both are an easy fix with no need for a dealer or to pay a mechanic.

So you really never left then, and could probably use the same name as you did back then.

I have been off the site for along time too. Im planning on getting another explorer, but I had to get some better mpg for now.
