As far as your "Cheapo Bender" goes, what are you looking at? If you get the Pipe Bender (kinker) from Harbour Freight or Princess Auto, you're gonna have to get REALLY good with it to make kink free bends. To really do it right, you need a proper tube bender, although I have seen sucess with a pipe bender but that seems few and far between. Looking forward to seeing how this goes!!!

I was looking at the one at Habor Freight...mostly due to the money factor. I cant afford a 3-400 dollar bender.

Personally, I can build it without a bender at all, but it LOOKS so much better with bends rather than welded angles.

1 3/4 DOM is just over 2lbs/ft. If you've got 120' or so into a cage, that's 250lbs, give or take. That's a lot of weight to hang up in the air for no reason. Your call, but all you need is enough lift to clear the tires and full lock and full articulation. Anything over that serves no functional purpose. [\QUOTE]

When I get all the weight of the tube on the truck and the gear in it, it will sit right down on the tires like it did. Actually I am worried about fitting anything bigger than the 35s in it when it has weight on it... but itll fit what it fits, Im not going any higher for SURE...
