Oops, I did it again...

Any updates???

You get them gears in yet :D

No, and I'm driving my coworkers insane trying to get them to do it in the next two days  I'm still going to be at New Year's regardless, but there are SOOO many things left to get done and so very little time to do them :(

damn that is really clean looking and, that wheel/tire combo really sets it off! cragar makes a 17x8" steelie that i have my eyes on

check out the prices of 17 inch tires first. they arent cheap to say the least. Nor are there as many options

17+ = $$$

Spas just has uber $ :D

And then there's that moment when you realize that all the bloody knuckles, tons of money spent, bosses pissed off and friends aggravated are totally worth it :D

"He" flexes pretty damn well :D I still have the rear sway bar connected, so I'm guessing I have another few inches of travel still ;)

I'm really tickled how well he turned out, Josh.. I was pulling 70 mph most of the way up to Hazleton (Until the truck rutted, pothole ridden northern section of I-81 started, anyway)

it did great, cept she may as well had stock brakelines on because at almost any give time she only had 3 of 4 brakes which made for some great power slides around corners.

So the front axle can only flex in one direction?

I have no idea how you noticed that. I just went back through the pics to see and in every one the drivers side is drooped and pass side is stuffed. wierd.

Also the braided brake lines were acting as limit straps in a lot of those pics. so we dont know yet how it will flex, either way the truck works well to say the least. Spas should be proud and now get ready to scrape it up some

Hunh. That IS weird that all the flex shots are with the axle going the same way.. odd.

I think my favorite aspect of the whole build is the fairly low (for a SAS'd Explorer, anyway) center of gravity ;)

Then looks like we need an RTI competition between the two Sports :D

Thats discrimination against the 4dr's

But we can have our own RTI challange. :D

Oh man, there's an awesome challenge right there- you vs. IZ's monster :D
I'll take on Skunk, but I'm pretty sure she'll beat Morgan by a good 6" worth of travel...

Oh, and I forgot to post the break-in run breakage....

~Murdered the 6" Skyjacker stainless braided brakelines on both sides, more flex than I was expecting
~Trac bar to Trac bar mount bushing is almost no more (that's what that damn clunking was yesterday, guys)
~Somehow got air in the trans slave cylinder and can't seem to bleed it out since it's a crappy aftermarket one. I ordered a new clutch today :p:

Other than that, he did pretty damn good! :)

Oh, and replaced my awesome Summit radiator cap with a lame stock one so it would stop hitting the hood and letting the coolant out.

That's a decent list, especially after the first run and it doesn't include things like, shackle mounts broke or a u joint busted. Good job guys

LOL I agree - thats why I was leaving us 4 doors out - I think the sports have us beat on wheelbase. And I'm sure you have me beat because I moved my axle forward I think 3.5 inches. But perhaps my vehicle's wider-than-usual stance will help prevent the vehicle from rolling over  . But then take into account my vehicle's somewhat higher than usual CG due to the body lift and I'm DOOOMED!!!

ramp travel index = (tire height)/sin(20*PI/180)/wheelbase*1000
