Can't figure out how to open my windows with the keyfob. The steps mentioned in the OM and Ford video doesn't work. I wouldn't believe its upgrade option, is it? Maybe I missed a setting in sync? I got an XLT 202

GLOBAL OPENING (IF EQUIPPED)

You can use the remote control to open the windows with the ignition off.
Note: You can enable or disable this feature in the information display, or see an authorized dealer. See General Information.
Note: To operate this feature, accessory delay must not be active.
Remote Control Front Windows
You can open the windows for a short time after you unlock your vehicle with the remote control. After you unlock your vehicle, press and hold the remote control unlock button to open the windows. Release the button once movement starts. Press the lock or unlock button to stop movement.

Thanks but I've already followed Ford's instructions as I wrote before.

You're welcome ... hope everything works out for you.

The qualifier is (IF EQUIPPED).

So only platinum, ST and limited get it? Where does it say which model gets it? It's dumb if any car with power windows doesn't have it.

I haven't been able to find the info as to which vehicles have it. I checked the Ford "Build your own" site and also checked the Order Guide.
It is likely another one of those features used to sell the higher trim levels. There are many features that those trims have that can be added to the lower ones but then there would be no 'incentive' to buy the higher priced ones. BTW, I've had it on 2 vehicles now and used it perhaps 2 or 3 times.

Ask the salesperson that sold you the vehicle.

I believe on the earlier model explorers holding down the unlock button for 3 seconds or more will activate the front windows only and the moonroof it was design to get air flow through the vehicle before you get in to cool it off. I agree it doesn't seem like an option you would use often it's just one more thing to draw down your battery

I have never been able to get the moonroof to open. The windows, yes. I see that looking up this feature in the 2020 Owner's Manual that it no longer mentions the moonroof.

Hey there, welcome to the forum! Don't worry about bumping an old thread, we're all here to help each other out. In terms of tinting your car, it's definitely a cool look and can help keep the car cool in the summer.
Welcome to the Forum.
Not sure to which post you are replying to. No one mentioned 'bumping' this thread nor is there a 'new' member here. Did you perhaps post your reply in the wrong place?

I believe it is a scam/bot... There was a similar link on the VW forum I go to for my wife's car. Pretty sure he'll respond with a link for us all to get a special rate on our car's extended warranty! haha
