Opinions on alphasonic speakers?

On Sat I went to my friend's shop, (both rear speakers on my mom's car turned into dust) I had $25 and asked what could I get, he sold me a pair of used alphasonic component speakers 6.5" with a 1" tweeter (which I didn't install since, well it's for mom's car with no amp) he told me those new are ~$100, they sound good powered by the HU, was this a good buy? I mean the walmart Durabrand ones were $19.99 for the speaker only hehe I've never used that brand, just wanted to know if anyone has had either good or bad experiences with it...

BTW he has 4 MA audio 5X7 speakers, used but like new selling for $40 (to me at least) if anyone wants them

Pretty sure they are made by Audiobahn.

In any case, from what I read on the interweb, they arent reliable at all. You got what you paid for I suppose.
Should have saved up another $20 and got those MA's.

Those MA's won't fit (5x7), I got the only ones he had 6.5 that I could afford with the $25 budget, also I didn't want to mess a lot installing bigger speakers, so that's why I got them hehe
Last year I did buy a pair of MA 5X7's for the rear speakers on my 02, he's trying to sell me the other 4 ones for my 97, but I don't want to spend more money on that truck...
