Jarv,
I think on yours, you need a 4mm socket. There are two little 'stem' looking things sticking up directly behind the headlights (One on each light) On yours, I believe turning them counterclockwise lowers them. Not sure tho'. Go somewhere that you can park about 25 ft. from a wall. With the lights on, you can try it in either direction and see which way it needs to go. 1/2 turn is noticeable. Supposedly, (from what i can remember) measure the height of the center of your headlight to the ground. At 25ft, the top of the beam on the wall is supposed to be at that same measurement. Also, along with the heavy gage wire harnesses....Aldive, and others are correct. The hard core stereo guys have known for years about how larger diameter cables (Even if only ground wires) give cleaner, more powerful sound. The heavier the wire, the easier current can flow thru' them. (Think 'water pipe') You would be surprised at how brite the stockers are with a proper adjustment and the addition of heavy (not smaller than 16.) gage wires. I just added a 12g. ground from my Batt. - terminal, to the engine block, and another one from the alternator chassis to the body to improve the grounding. Now, some tuners claim thier engines actually run better...I wont go that far without proof (Altho' Jacobs and others sell alot of heavier spark plug wire sets to get more power to the plugs) but, I do believe my lights are a little brighter, and the dash lights were noticeably brighter. I HATED driving at night in the Ex. until I re-aimed the lights and added the heavier wires.....
My .02

PS...I bet those S.S.'s are white as heck with the heavy harness!

Okay so the concinous is that sylvainia's, sorry it's late horrible speller!, are they not worth it?? I wanna put some brighter lights in or thinking of doing the conversion, how much would that cost!??

IMO Sylvanias and a high power harness are the best you can do. I have tryed the high watt bulbs and they just dont last very long. If the X was easier to change bulbs I might use them. But w/high watt bulbs you must aim the lights a little lower and that sort of negates the extra wattage.
Sylvanias/PIAAS & Harness & Good Fogs will give you more light than 99% of the veh.s on the road. Driving lights optional but recomended.

Silverstars

I just put in a set of the 9007 series into my 2002 Explorer Sport. The difference is absolutely incredible compared to the stock lights that came with the car. Just turn on the stock fog lights with your silverstars and look at the color comparison. My fog lights look yellow compared to the extra bright white silverstars. I'm going out this weekend to get a set of the H3 series to replace my fog lamps. Go with the silverstars - they look just as good as the PIAA's and are about half the cost.

The clearest fact is that anything usually better than stock. I myself run Silverstars and find they worked very well in both my Bronco and now my Explorer. I run standard wattage only. I tried the higher output bulbs but found that if you do not upgrade your harness then they can overheat the wires. More importantly ( expense wise ) the heat can actually damage your headlight reflector assembly. It is usually plastic and can melt or deform with high output bulbs. Remember this before you decide to go with 100w output bulbs. Have you seen how small the wires to your headlights are ? The light assemblies are very expensive to replace. If you really NEED the brightest light when driving i suggest you add an extra set of high output lights to your grill / bumper rahter than up the wattage of you stock headlights and chance melting your assemblies or wiring harness. As for upgrades, you are usually safe as long as you do not up the wattage.

Good luck.
