whats a repeater light?

Well look at a recent Passat :)

It is a small turn signal that goes on the fender behind the rear wheel about 3/4th way up.

Spas has them on her Ex

The new Mountaineers have them. You should too......

I think they look awsome! Of course I already told you my opinion.

you mean side markers right? Could look good if they are they clear...

Well they technically aren't side marker lights they are too far back.
They are after the wheel.
yeah they are clear with a silver backing.

Go for it, I think it would look great.

After having a Jetta with those, I think it's a great idea. I also like the thought of putting something on the outside rearview mirror, similar to the way Mercedes does it.

Well, I did it :)

I am very happy with the results too.

Also notice the wiper arms, cowl and antenna bezzel painted to match the truck.

Sweet! That looks great, I'm assuming you just spliced into the turn signals right?

Looks great!! How about a write up on them? I'd love to do that, but drilling into the fender scares the living daylights out of me!

yeah I taped into the turn signals.
I would do a write up but I did not take any photos.
The lay out was rather involved. They are Volkswagon Passat repeater lights and they snap into place. It was very tedious work with a Dremel tool
( my God how did we accomplish any thing before those existed )

Yeah it was a real anxoius moment " Gee here I am taking a cut off wheel to a perfecly good fender "

Well then, might scratch that one off the list ;) I'd like to try and put some lights into the mirror like a Benz has. Something similar, but thats just dreaming.

Looks really nice.
