Options for more front lift

Hey guys...On my truck I did a shackle/double AAL lift out back and a TT up front. The truck settled a little bit in the back, but I still sit pretty raked. I'd like to even it out a little bit...say about 1.5 to 2.0 more inches up front. I did a search on options with regard to the TT, but didn't come up with too much. I know a few guys here are running more than 2 inches up front with their TT's, but I'm a little wary of that. What, if any, other options do I have? I know I could do a BL, but wouldn't that theoretically have me sitting just how I am now, only 3 inches higher all around?

well if your 4x4 then you can't bring your front end up more than 2 inches without causing accelerated wear. You can bring it up more but you will put wear on the CV's. Some people have brought It up 3 or 4 inches beign 4x4 and not had many problems but some of them sat lower from the beginning. A 3'' body lift will be all around and have no affect on how your suspention is. You can always get fiberglass front fenders to make the fender-well gap even. At last resort you could get the superlift front lift for like 900$ (4'' kit).

Does Superlift actually sell only the front components? I heard this kit wan't too hot...

PS: I am 4-wheel drive.

Im almost positive the sell it in 2 different kits. If you want a suspention lift get a superlift because they replace the whole spindle where the other brand (forgot name) only uses a 4'' extention to existing spindle giving 3 separate ball joints. Let me see if i can find the superlift.

Dude, THANK YOU. I'm in between staff meetings and **** here....I know that it's kinda expensive, and mucho moo-la for susp lift components, but I really like the way susp lifts look. I was at a lite the other day and a lifted 2nd gen white X rolled up about 2 cars back (which I've never seen in my area---thought I was the only one). He must've had suspension work done cuz you could clearly see that his A-arms were pushed down. Now I want it!

Oh yea bill dont forget.. if you get the 4" suspension lift up front then you're gonna want the 2" TT on top of that, take out your warrior shackles and do the $50 SOA in the rear and put on 33's or 35's.... but you're already complainin about doggin with the 32's so then we gotta think about gears

$900+ for lift
$50 for SOA
$$$for tires (cause 32's are gonna look small)
more $$$ for gears
= mucho mula

$365 for fibe fenders
$400 for paint job
= priceless

with the 4" suspension lift and NO TT you're gonna sit slightly higher than me in this pic... and you'll have 32s. If you do the TT with the SOA in rear you're gonna be up another 1-2 inches on me which may even look wierd on 33's.. i can fit 35's now if i wanted...

Nah---I relearned how to drive. She ain't too bad...just had to get used to it.

Yes, the relatively "inexpensive" cost of doing fenders is REALLY attractive. But I'm thinking...since it's an Eddie, is it gonna look fugged up? I'd like to have that 2-tone match. Guess I'd have to talk to a reputable body shop 1st?

LOL!!! Def let me know what you're going to be looking at as far as cost. Oh, and what are you going to do as far as paint? You've got that grey trim over your wheel wells, kinda like how mine is (except I'm beige). That's what I'm wondering about...how to mock the same look with the fibe fenders, cuz they don't have flairs, right?

what is your stock gear ratio? I say ditch the fender flares and go for a full perry kit! Then you can get 33's with no more lift

EDIT: you could add the flares but it would take some decent cutting. I would call perry for options

Just got back. $1500 to get a full paint job as pictured above. The only things different is thats not including the nerf bars or the plastic covers on the bumpers... so those 3 parts would still be grey. They'd also take out some dents i have... and id have 100% new paint job...very temping...

any loan sharks on this board???

Im running the 4" superlift. The components are quite stout. Only thing you will need is a skidplate that extends back to the t-bar mounts. Look up Ray Labato's Explorer Registry, I am waiting for him to reply with the dimensions. My Superlift kit came in 3 boxes I believe... If you want, just call 4Wheel parts and ask them some questions. Its also the kit for the sport track. One more thing, you might need a new front driveshaft, atleast I did.

The other kit is a trailmaster, and isnt near as good quality.
