I think i am going to put a instrument panel from a 2001 sport into my 98. Is this going to be hard? I have no clue how to do this kind of stuff. Does the cluster come right out or what. How is it hooked up. Any info would help.

It's going to take a little time to get the dash torn apart. I'm assuming all the wiring is the same for the instruments. Everything is electronic. The clear plastic that protects the guages actually comes out with the instrument panel is self, but you can take it off when you get it out of the truck. It's not really that hard. Just a bunch of little screws everywhere. If something isn't coming out easily then there is a hidden screw. Seems like there were a few that were kind of hidden. Good luck.

If you can tear the dash apart it isnt too bad. I think there are some writeups on how to do this. Last time I checked, guages from a 01 sport werent cheap. I did this mod to my 96 and it costed $150 for em..check some online junkyards for the best deal.
