Over or Under the axle???

What would be the best way to put my leaf spring for maximun articulation and travel, over or under the axle, thanks for any advice not to bright on the articulation side.

over the axle will do the best for articulation ie max droop and whatnot, but under axle will be the best for ride

on top of that you'd ant to try and find some revolver type shackles as well for even more droop........ someone has seen those for the X...... don't know if they're in the making though...
