Does anyone have an OX Locker OXLocker in the front diff of a 2nd gen? If so, what do you think of the performance. Was it difficult to route the cable? Please share any info you can. Thanks in advance.

I have heard that they are not too reliable from some, and others say the opposite. Why not just do the brown wire mod, and put a powertrax in front?

Uh, I don't think they even make Ox lockers for any explorer axle, but I could be wrong. I've heard of many problems getting them to engage right, that and the stability of the company. I've heard they've gone under, they're restructuring, they've been bought out... Who knows what's goin on.

OK then. I don't want to put a Powertrax in and do the brown wire mod cuz I use 4 high in the snow a lot and I don't want a locked front in the snow!

Eh, it ain't that bad... I have a locked front end in the snow, and it's easy to get used to.
