Hiya- I am thinking its ford only mate- unless you can get a second hand one- try Duncan..a used one should last ok and save loads of money!

Just curious about why you cannot use a universal sensor? What is different with the Ex? Haven't got around to looking at mine yet to see any obvious difference.

well at least the plugs and sockets are different there are at least 2 types of plug for the explorers

That's the same with all cars though. You just cut off the connectors and crimp the wires together. Brand new sensors around £10-£15 delivered.

ive had the ex plugged in today and the code reads;- system to lean bank 1. any ideas,i know ive said its the sensor but could it be anything else.many thanks.dave

I had the very same thing (code)- was right hand side oxy went on mine..
I got a 2nd hand one from Chris ... paid for its self within the 1st week in fuel savings
