It looks good. The only places where i can tell that you painted is in the cup holders. Im guessing you took it all out and painted it seperate right?

you shoudl paint the speedo tack dash part also.. looks good.. and the color coded swithces must make it easier to memorize which is for what

speedo/tach dash

I am planning on painting that when I get my reverse indiglo gauges in. Yeah I am planning on filling the cup holders with some suede stuff that I got. Just havent dont it yet. Then you would be able to tell it was painted. And the reason you can tell is cus I couldnt sand that part for sh$%. So the dremel left lil marks.. LOL

Looks awsome!! Where did you get the paint at, and what was the process for prepping and such?

looks really good, blends in well!

looks good!

IamTodd: I got the paint here in Az at a local auto paint store. I just used a gloss spraypaint. For the prepping. I found out (after I did the first couple of pieces), that the easiest way to prep it is to use a knife and just peel the black coat that is already on there off. I found the easiest way to get it started was to paint it and let it bubble. Once it bubbled I used a knife and peeled it like a potato. Then I prepped it with some plastic prep. Then put on a few coats of paint and finishing it with a couple clear coats.

Everyone else: Thanks for the compliments. I am not completely done as I still have some stuff to do to it. Once it it completely done, I'll show the rest of the pics.

;) ;) ;)

That looks great! I was thinking of doing the same thing. But it only looks good with a different body colors. With Black it just looks like a stock. So I am still thinking of CF.

you could make it GLOSSY... so it shines like crazy. Just an idea.

:D

That looks really good man. Great Idea.

Looks really good man!! I wouldn't personally do this to my car though. :p Good job!!!

Well the center piece is finished

WEll I finally finsihed with the center piece. I put a suede texture in the cupholders to cover up the mess that I made with my dremel and it worked wonders. Check it out.

Let me know what you think. Good or Bad.....

Oh man...looks very very sweet!!! Good job!!

See I come up with a good idea once and a while.

We can't diss the $8 flogger anymore, looks too good:thumbsup:

I prefer black, but good job. Looks real nice. How did you get the felt texture in the cupholders? Is there some kind of rattle-can stuff I could get? On a side note, I herculined the underside of the two pieces of the console. It helped get rid of a lot of rattles/squeaks.

how to do it

Well I went online and found this stuff at

Suede Flocker

Now if you order it.. you will need to get the suede material and the $7.75 flocker. All it basically is, is 2 cardboard tubes that go together and has a hole in one end. I'll try to post some pics up later. And you apply this adhesive and just spray the stuff on there... I was surprised how nice it turned out.

i think it looks fantastic, i would have to go with some dark color, but thats me

Turned out awesome man, GREEAT IDEA

Now go celebreate your accomplishment :chug:
