Painting Plastic?

What is the best way to paint plastic??? My X is black and the bumper trim is grey, but in some light it looks slightly purple. I want them black and I dont want the paint to come off.

I live in New England, so the temp can vary from 110 down to 40 below. I also have a habit of sepping on the rear bumper a lot and dragging cargo across it.

The paint has to flex with the plastic, plus take a beating. Plastickote has some cheapo paint, but I dont know if I trust it. I want a satin or gloss black finish.

Any suggestions??

Try www.paintscratch.com. They can mix paint to match your stock Ford color; you just need the color code from the door sticker. They also offer a flex agent that they can add to the paint that allows the paint to be applied to plastic and flex (like heat expansion) without cracking. In addition, they also offer a protective clearcoat finish, that may stand up to the beating you may put on it. My girlfriend ordered some paint with the flex agent added from them to match her Toy RAV4 and it was a pretty good match. We painted the interior dash panels with it, and it came out nice looking. I also wnat to paint my plastic trim parts the color of my truck (dark green). Does anyone have any ideas, directions or tips they are willing to share ? Thanks.

Had mine painted last Oct. and its going back to get it done again.
Body shop said they didnt use enough stuff that makes the paint stick. Adehesion agent or something like that. No charge this time...
