painting rim help

tomorrow i was planning on painting the lower tan part of my x, and my rims, can anyone give me some suggestions or tips i wanted to paint them black

all you got to do is take the rims off ur truck and clean them good. then tap off every were you dont want to paint like the tiers. then i would fist prim them and then you can start painting them. i would then use a clear coat after you paint then just so they wont chip. this is what i was told todo when i wanted to paint mine. when ur done post pics so we can see how it turned out
 






take a green pad and scratch them up really good. the more prep you do the easier it is to paint them. so scratch the hell out of them. WASH THEM make sure you get them clean. the silicone from tire shine is hard to get off wheels so soap them up really good and let them dry completely. i found it was easier to paint the wheels when the sun was out and they were kinda warm(less runs). i did gray primer then i did krylon fusion black paint i think i did 5 coats. after that a nice coat of wheel clear coat. then enjoy
