Painting the Grill?

I want to paint my chrome grill black on my Explorer, but I didn't know what process I would need to go through to do so. I couldn't find anything by searching. So any help is appreciated.

You have to do a lot of work do even remove the thing so you can paint it, but it's cheaper than buying the Ironman stuff from a dealer.
