What's the rubber cover/plug called on the bottom of the transmission (4R70W)? I need a replacement and can't find it anywhere.

Also, what's the point of this hole? All I can see is the back of the flywheel.

That would be called an "inspection hole cover"
And that is what it is for-to see the rear of the engine-flywheel torque converter area.

That's what I would do-
I'll bet they let you have it free-
while there-I would grab everything under the hood I could think of-
IAT sensor
relays
