Part Identification Needed

Was working on my truck yesterday and found that the throttle cable had rubbed a hole in the part circled in red... now I just need to figure out what it is!

You can see in the upper right corner were the cable wore though. This is a '98 Explorer V6 SOHC.

Engine harness main connector

That's the engine wiring harness main connector (C115). There is a male and female section. The male section is the worn one. There are 42 pins in that connector and all pins are used except 2.

The throttle cable moves within a housing. I don't understand how it could wear the connector.
 






The throttle cable was resting on the top of the box. My guess is that the engine vibration though the cable caused it to slowly rub through the case, no idea how long its been rubbing.

Need to check to make sure the cable didn't wear thought when I get home tonight. and seal up the hole in the case with some silicon.
