Partial VIN Number

I ordered my 2012 Ex 4WD Limited 302A on June 15, 2011. When I called my salesperson on 8/8/11 (8 weeks from order date) I was told that the Ford rep had said Sept. Was that a Sept build or a Sept delivery? Didn't know, just that the rep said Sept. When I called yesterday (11 weeks from order date), I was given a partial VIN #. No build date. No eta on delivery. Just a partial VIN #. Anybody have a guess as to when I might see my vehicle?
